Assists business in understanding and complying with the requirements of the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”) and other privacy legislation, in connection with sales and marketing activities and ongoing business activities that involve the collection, use and disclosure of the personal information of customers, partners and others.
Advises clients on the protection of confidential business information that is provided to government departments and agencies, in connection with freedom of information requests that may be made by third parties or arises under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (“FIPPA”), the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (“MFIPPA”) or similar provincial legislation.
